Gears made of different materials can produce their own unique characteristics during CNC machining.  These characteristics are usually related to the nature, use and manufacturing process of the material.  For example:black oxide steel helical gear, brass worm gear and stainless steel worm shaft, brass worm gear set, gearbox, hardened steel helical gear and timing gear, hardened steel helical gear, Plastic, POM and nylon herringbone gear, steel worm gear and worm shaft etc.

Each gear material has unique advantages and limitations, and CNC machining gears can manufacture these products precisely according to requirements, adjusting design and processing parameters to the specific application to meet performance and quality requirements.
Steel: Steel gears have excellent strength and wear resistance and are suitable for applications with high loads, high speeds and harsh environments, such as automotive drivetrains and mechanical transmissions. Aluminum alloy: Aluminum alloy gears have lighter weight and good corrosion resistance and are suitable for applications with light loads, high speeds and chemically corrosive environments, such as aerospace and electronic equipment. Brass: Brass gears have good wear and corrosion resistance and are suitable for applications with low speed, high torque and lubricated conditions, such as clock and marine transmission systems.
Nylon: Nylon gears have good wear resistance, self-lubrication and impact resistance, and are suitable for applications in low noise, low friction and high humidity environments, such as home appliances and automotive parts. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE): PTFE gears have excellent chemical resistance and low friction coefficient, making them suitable for applications in high temperature, high precision and chemically corrosive environments, such as food processing and chemical equipment.
Carbon fiber reinforced composites: Carbon fiber composite gears have excellent strength-to-weight ratio and stiffness, making them suitable for high-performance, high-temperature and high-speed applications such as racing and aerospace.
